Expedition Calculator

Because the calculator is to big to fit in this design ( >_<' ).
We had to make a pop-up (just a new window).

Click here to open the Ogame Expedition Calculator

The large, med and small have different messages depending on which you’ve found.
for ships:
Small: You find an old expedition
Medium: You find an armada
Large: You find a spaceship graveyard

for resources

Small: You find an old asteroid
Medium: You find an old frigate convoy
Large: You come across mineral belts

  1. you can get different things in your expedition with about the same result
like a message saying “aliens gave us a box with dark matter” or “we found some dark matter and managed to salvage it”
they will both give different amounts
the aliens (which im better will give more) might give you 1000 dark matter while finding it yourself will only give you 250
same with the pirate ships (from encountering a few desperate pirates to encountering an entire raid of them)
and same with the ships you get (finding a few in space after a battle or finding them in a desolate shipyard)

  2. the small medium and large are for how long u want the expedition to go for. small 1 hour. medium 2 hours. large 3 hours. thats what i worked it out at. If im wrong tell me pleaz. i am only new to the game.

  4. The difference is of 3 lvls of wep, shield, armour tech. The pirates will have 3 lvls less than you and the aliens will have 3 lvls more than u…

    Ex. You have lvl 5 wep, lvl 4 shields, lvl 5 armour ==>;
==>; Pirates will have lvl 2 wep, lvl 1 shields, lvl 2 armour
==>; Aliens will have lvl 8 wep, lvl 7 shields, lvl 8 armour.

  5. I think this is great, I wish I would have found this earlier but do you think you can rework it so it makes it easier to understand, like the small, medium, and large meanings. Besides that I think this is great.

  6. Hey guys,
Not sure if you guys found out what small, medium and large are meant for but I found out so I figured I would inform you all.

Small – Worse case (best case for being attacked) basically the smallest amount you will get.
Large – Best case (worse case for being attacked) basically the largest amount you will get.
Medium – An average between the two.

Hope that helps you guys out!

  7. TIPS on using the calculator!!!

SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE aren’t really “modifiers” per-say.
What is does do, is give you a look at possible outcomes.

What you calculate on SMALL you have around a 90% chance of encountering.
Calculations on MEDIUM have around a 9% chance of happening.
and Calculations on LARGE have around a 1% chance of happening.

Strategy wise, you should always do your “Resource find (max):” and “Possible delay / Speed-up:” on SMALL setting. That way you send enough large cargo’s to fill the resources you’ll receive 90% of the time without jeopardizing too many.
Set the “Alien and Pirate Worst possible fleet (max)’s” to MEDIUM. Then run a simulation to find out your maximum losses for 99% of expeditions. 10/11 times Your losses will be non-existent or very small compared to what is calculated through MEDIUM.

This gives you balanced expeditions, high reward rates with low loss rates. (Unless of course your ships become lost forever, which really sucks.

    Hope this was helpful :)

  8. Either there is a glitch in the game or this calculator is wrong. I found 140K Crystal on a expedition and it said that ‘We found a old asteroid’, my ships came back with there cargoes full.
