    I have 3 pure farm planets mines 31-29-26 in norm uni with defense on each as follows:
    RL – 10,000
    LL – 8,000
    HL – 7,000
    IC – 7,500
    GC – 2,000
    PT – 1,000

    Only people to attack me ever were top two players on server using ACS Attack. They failed and lost huge points. Needless to say they are no longer on top… GO TURTLES!

    it would be nice to see a calc. that showed how many resourdecs it takes to build a certain amount of defences, like fleet builder but for defences.

    Don’t you not want many rocket launchers at all in early game? Cruisers get ridiculous RF against RLs early on…it’s usually a good idea to wait until you start encountering battleships to start stocking up on RLs…

    also it would be helpful if you could elaborate on which defense schemes are best against which types of ship. I imagine most will want to maximize their effectiveness against battleships.

    Agenst battleships just build small lasers + gauss kannons or even better plasma kannons (one shots battleships^^)

    - but only build this cind defence early into the game where ppl will tend to go for battleships for thair fleet because they are cheap, later in the game destroyers will dominate together with bombers and maybe fodder to crush defences and then small lasers suck as main fodder:P

    Well i had about 200k RL
    50k LL
    10k Hl
    5k Gauss
    3k Ion
    722 PL
    In Fin’s server and top 2 and top 1 player used ACS to me whit 150 RIPs
    and they didn’t even got to profit they had pretty big losses =D

      Using a simulator you would lose 265,385,000 Metal, 68,239,000 Crystal and 12,458,000 Deuterium and they wouldn’t lose one deathstar. Maybe you shuld make a better lie.

    defense alone will not help… U would need some fodder to back them up.. Build some 10K LF… that should be enuf wid 10K RL

    and yes i know that’s a massive waste of resources but i don’t care i like farming…
    (200M resources on that planet i like to be prepared)

    i have found the best way of keeping my resources is to fleet save

    with minimal defense just to put a deterrent factor there right now have
    300 RL
    125LL
    100HL
    15GC
    25IC
    and so far maybe lucky but also being smart haven’t been hit once probed yes but not worth the
    minimal resources that i have after i fleet save

    just hide your res through research and construction canceling. there are godzillas out there that can penetrate any defense with virtually no loss to them. just dont give them a reason to attack you. a friend was attacked and the debris was 20mil metal and 10mil crystal. he had 6500 RL, 4000 LL, 550 HL, 320 GC, 200 IC and 50 PT REPAIRED, so you can see how big of a defense he had. the attacker lost 100k res.

    but would light lasers not be better fodder then Rocket launchers? its pretty much the same cost, but has better shield, and much better attack…

      Destroyers have rapidfire against light lasers. They’ll rip them up. Normally people have more metal than anything else, so they build rocket launchers.

        if this is so?? Then why don’t Turtles/Miners have two fodders? LL and RL?? They cheap as hell!!!!! and basicaly they won’t know what to do? 20k of each would do fine?.. as long as you keep making PL till your #1 on the universe?
